Pierrette Philippeau-Delerme

Mrs. Pierrette Philippeau Delerme was born on June 22, 1978, in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, to her loving parents, Jean and Louisa Philippeau. She spent her early childhood in Delmas 30 Rue Montbrun, where she was surrounded by family, laughter, love, and the vibrant spirit of her homeland. On May 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and loved ones, Pierrette entered into eternal rest, leaving behind a legacy of love, compassion, strength, and unity. At the age of 9, Pierrette migrated to New York City with her family on February 9, 1988, where she embraced a new chapter in life while proudly carrying her Haitian culture, values, and traditions with her everywhere she went. Though transitioning from the warmth of Haiti to the cold streets of New York was not easy, Pierrette adapted with resilience, determination, and grace. Pierrette was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished daughter, sister, aunt, godmother, niece, cousin, and loyal friend. She was the heart of her family and the bridge that connected so many people together. Her love knew no boundaries, and her home was always open to anyone in need of comfort, guidance, laughter, or support. Education and helping others were deeply important to Pierrette. She proudly earned her bachelor’s degree from the City College of New York and continued striving for excellence throughout her life. In 2023, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, fulfilling her lifelong passion for helping others heal, grow, and overcome life’s challenges. After marrying her beloved husband, Fritz Delerme, in 2008, Pierrette moved to South Carolina to begin building her life and family. She became a longtime member of St. Gregory the Great Church in Bluffton, South Carolina, where she faithfully attended for 19 years. Known for her unforgettable laughter and joyful spirit, Pierrette brought life into every room she entered. She loved dancing, talking with family and friends, and creating meaningful memories with the people she loved most. Whether through an early morning phone call, a late-night conversation, words of encouragement, or simply her presence, Pierrette had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved, heard, and valued. Attentive, loving, strong, supportive, and selfless are only a few of the many beautiful qualities that defined Pierrette. She believed deeply that family was everything and that love was always worth fighting for. She taught those around her how to love wholeheartedly, remain strong during difficult times, and give even when you have little for yourself. In her final days, Pierrette spent her last moments in New York City, the same city where she first migrated as a young girl. God had a greater plan for her and needed her to continue her mission alongside Him. Though her passing leaves an immeasurable void in the hearts of many, her legacy will forever live on in all of our hearts. We will deeply miss her. She leaves to cherish her loving memories: Her loving husband, Fritz Delerme. Her beloved children, Preston Delerme, Ariana Delerme, and Alaina Delerme. Her devoted parents, Jean and Louisa Philippeau. Her loving sister, Pauline Philippeau-St. Omer. Her sister-in-law, Sandra Delerme. Her brother-in-law, Mauricio St. Omer. Her cherished nieces and nephews, Cassey Saint-Hubert, Bradley Desrosiers, Nathaniel St. Omer, Eliana St. Omer, and Riley Desrosiers. She also leaves behind loving aunts, uncles, godchildren, extended family members, and a multitude of cousins and dear friends whose lives were forever touched by her kindness, wisdom, generosity, and unconditional love. Her beautiful spirit, warm memories, infectious laughter, and unwavering love will forever remain in our hearts. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
