Thursday, August 22, 2019“To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord”. Carmen and I worked many, many years ago at Chemical Bank, when I was fresh out of college. My best friend for life, Norman Strong, introduced us and I remember it like yesterday. Her full personality for life, that boisterous laugh and her love for her family, made us gravitate towards her even more and she towards us. You will surely be missed and will always be in our hearts.

Wednesday, August 21, 2019I have know Carmen all of my life. I remember her strong personality and big voice. When she was around you knew it. There was laughter and so much pride in her. Her presence was confident, strong and proud. I always heard her refer to herself along with some really great people as my people, her family. Where they were from was very important to her & became very important to me as well. In fact she scared me as a child. Carmen was always direct with me and for that I learned to appreciate every piece of advice she’d offer. I loved hearing her tell stories of my Grandfather and his brothers Uncle Jack & Uncle John. She would talk about Tombear & Tonding my great grand mother and her sister and I loved and admired them so very much. A generation of amazing people who I wish I was able to spend more time with. My thoughts and prayers go out to my cousin Jackie who I hope knows we love and miss her very much.

Wednesday, August 21, 2019Carman Raymond is one of the funniest smartest and strongest people I've ever known. I'm happy she got to be at her only daughters wedding. She got to see that Jackie was happy and not alone. She will be missed by all that knew her. Now Carmen can rest in peace with the rest of the people that ment world to her. God is good.

Tuesday, August 20, 2019" I cared for Mrs. Carmen in her home in Florida. At first it wasn't easy but as time passed we developed a unique friendship that never left neither one of our hearts. She was a beautiful woman always had encouraging words of wisdom. We shared many things together with lots of smiles and laughter. She got me hooked on pineapple ice cream from Publix and I hooked her on berry Skittles. She had such an impact on my life that I will never forget her. At the time she needed care she might have needed me but I needed her in my life as well she just didn't know it. I was so sad when she had to move but she told me I was her angel in Florida."

Tuesday, August 20, 2019I met Carmen 46 years ago and she immediately became one of my best friends. I have so many fond memories of her, Chuck, Jacqui and Michael. Parties, dances and shows, they were always up for a good time. Carmen would not leave the house unless she had on her make up, jewelry and the highest high heels she could walk in. Our birthdays were one day apart and every year we would go to dinner and a Broadway show. It was not just good times we shared many sad times and she was always ready to help in any way possible. I will miss our conversations. Always laughing and reminiscing about days gone by. You may be gone from our sight but you will always be here in our hearts.

Tuesday, August 20, 2019I remember when I first met Mrs. Carmen at my former place of employment. She welcomed me and it seemed as though we had known each other for quite some time. I also had the pleasure of bringing in a New Year’s celebration with her at Jacqui’s home in Louisiana. She was a woman who enjoyed spending time sharing her wisdom with others. My sincere Condolences to Jacqui, her family members and loved ones. Always, Robbie

Tuesday, August 20, 2019My fondest memory of Ms. Raymond was when Mr. & Mrs. Raymond, Jacqui, my son Lionel (Ms. Raymond called Lionel, PaPa) and I went on vacation to Disney World in Miami, Florida. Ms. Raymond spoiled my son rotten and loved him to death. Her and Mr. Raymond were constantly debating and had me in stitches that whole week. Never a dull moment! That was when I fell in love with Ms. Raymond and considered her a second mother. I could relate to her and I will truly miss her views, intelligent conversations and bubbly personality. She was full of life and you could not help but be full in her presence, even miles away. Be at peace MOM. Mr. Raymond and Michael are waiting to welcome you home!
